Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (following: Google). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

The purposes of the data processing are to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on activities on the website. Based on the use of the website and the Internet, further related services are then to be provided. The processing is based on the legitimate interest of the website operator.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Browser Add On to deactivate Google Analytics.

In addition or as an alternative to the Browser Add-On you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking on this link. This will install an opt-out cookie on your device. This prevents Google Analytics from tracking this website and this browser in the future as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)

In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web fonts are cached in your browser to avoid multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a default font.

Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible – although it is currently unclear whether and for what purposes – that the operators of such libraries collect data.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Using Adobe Typekit

We use Adobe Typekit for the visual design of our website. Typekit is a service provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd. that gives us access to a font library. To integrate the fonts we use, your browser must connect to an Adobe server in the USA and download the font required for our website. This will inform Adobe that your IP address has been used to access our website. For more information about Adobe Typekit, please refer to Adobe’s privacy policy, which can be found at www.adobe.com/privacy/typekit.html

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When using Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data on the use of the map functions by visitors. Further information about data processing by Google can be found in the Google data protection information. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the data protection centre.

Detailed instructions on how to manage your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.

Embedded YouTube videos

On some of our websites we embed Youtube videos. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection is established to Youtube servers. This tells Youtube which pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, Youtube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by first logging out of your Youtube account.

If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour.

If you’ve disabled cookies for the Google Ad program, you won’t be able to expect to receive cookies when you watch Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at “Youtube” can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Embedded Vimeo videos

Our website integrates plugins from the video portal Vimeo of Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. Each time you access a page that offers one or more Vimeo video clips, a direct connection is established between your browser and a Vimeo server in the USA. Information about your visit and your IP address is stored there. Through interaction with the Vimeo plug-ins (e.g. clicking the start button), this information is also transmitted to Vimeo and stored there.

If you have a Vimeo user account and do not want Vimeo to collect information about you through this website and link it to your membership data stored at Vimeo, you must log out of Vimeo before visiting this website.

The Vimeo Privacy Policy, which provides more information about Vimeo’s collection and use of your information, can be found at http://vimeo.com/privacy.

In addition, Vimeo calls up the tracker Google Analytics via an iFrame in which the video is accessed. This is Vimeo’s own tracking, which we do not have access to. You can prevent tracking by Google Analytics by using the deactivation tools that Google offers for some Internet browsers. Users can also prevent the collection of data generated by Google Analytics and related to their use of the website (including your IP address) from being sent to Google, and the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link

Google AdWords

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad served by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not personally identifiable. If the user visits certain pages on our site and the cookie hasn’t expired, we and Google can tell that the user clicked the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. As a result, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected through the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for advertisers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse to accept cookies by changing your browser settings to disable automatic placement of cookies or to set your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.
